When one paints an ideal, one does not need to limit one’s imagination - Ellen Key
With a deep seated drive to manifest stunning imagery, tell impactful stories, and capture the extraordinary, I have found myself behind the camera and creating content for the stage for over a decade. By observing, collaborating, and directing, I am in my element as a creative artist, working on projects from the ground up.
Starting as a professional dancer, actor and singer in New York City, I found myself drawn to the creative process and the people behind the table. I was enthralled with the process, how something came together from the idea to the stage, or the words to the screen. I quickly found myself working along side some of the top directors, choreographers and creators in the business, diving head first into the depths of the process, talking ideas and collaborating on large projects from Disney Theatrical shows, to choreographing for Dick Van Dyke, and working with Alex Lacamoire and Al Blackstone on my short film Double Exposure.

Photographer Dani struggles professionally and personally as the lines between reality and imagination blur. On the eve of a cornerstone birthday, her well-meaning friends and family bombard her with a series of dating app gift cards, leaving Dani in a state of utter shock and despair. Reluctantly, she sets out on a journey ignited by the events of the infamous dinner party and tries to pull the pieces together as she discovers the tools to develop her unactualized life.
With elements of imagination, music, and movement – this piece takes us on Dani’s journey of self- discovery in a non-linear, playful way.

Director, choreographer, photographer + creator - Daryl Getman seeks to tell stories through movement and imagery, utilizing several mediums from the stage to film and photography. She was awarded “Fearless Female Filmmaker” from the Coronado Film Festival for her work as director of Double Exposure, a short romantic comedy film. Whimsy met reality – her style on this piece encompasses a world that feels real, yet heightened, utilizing choreography and music, which enhances the story in an almost dreamlike way. She particularly loves working on women’s stories - seeking content that is thought provoking, empowering and universal.
Having worked as a performer in the Broadway community for many years, she transitioned to the other side of the table, collaborating on creative teams for a number of productions from stage concerts and broadway musicals, to film. A few highlights include working at Carnegie Hall, ABC, PBS, and for Disney Theatricals, with artists such as Ariana DeBose, Alex Lacamoire, Al Blackstone, Dick Van Dyke, Robert Redford, Kate Winslet, and Jane Seymour.
